Alabama Cooperative Extension System

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System has a long history of serving people and communities. Based at Alabama A&M and Auburn universities, and with county offices across the state, our mission is to provide impactful, relevant educational resources, advance urban and suburban communities, and enhance the quality of life for residents in Alabama.

 

Personalized Approach to Learning

We take university research and translate it into programs that everyone can understand. These informal learning activities are designed to make positive changes in our cities by helping groups and individuals solve problems and grow.

What is Urban Extension?

Our programs meet the needs of Alabama’s urban and suburban residents.
An Extension agent has a booth set up with local wild animal pelts. He is hold one up for a group of children to guess what the animal is.

Products and Services

We offer online and face-to-face programs, community meetings, hands-on demonstrations, tours, youth camps, field days, and conferences.
