Student Conduct and Community Standards
The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards, through counseling, guidance, and restorative practices, adjudicates violations
of the Student Code of Conduct in a fair, educational, and consistent manner. The
Student Code of Conduct is outlined in the student handbook, "Life on the Hill".
The Office serves as a resource for students regarding their rights and responsibilities in conduct matters. It is also committed to fostering a community of accountability, reflection, and repair, ensuring students are informed about the conduct process and empowered to grow through it.
Student Conduct and Community Standards fulfills this mission by:
-
-
- Educating students on behavioral expectations and community values.
- Conducting the student conduct review process with a focus on learning, accountability, and restoration.
- Promoting fairness, transparency, and due process in all conduct proceedings.
- Encouraging students to be active, responsible, and respectful members of both the on-campus and off-campus communities.
- Incorporating restorative justice practices to help students reflect on the impact of their actions and work toward meaningful resolution and reintegration.
- Collaborating with the University Police Department and other campus partners to protect the health, safety, and integrity of the educational environment.
