Bulldog Alerts

Bulldog Alerts Portal

Alabama A&M University places the security and safety of its students, employees, and visitors as its highest priority. To keep you informed the University has implemented the myBulldog Alert multi-platform notification system. The system can notify you via telephone, cell phone, text message (SMS) to a mobile device, or by email of emergencies, severe weather notifications, and other important announcements.

AAMU offers:

  • Emergency Alerts - Receive urgent notifications in the event of an emergency on all of your devices.
  • ITS Alerts - Receive Information Technology Services (ITS) notifications on planned outages, maintenance, downtime, etc.

SUBSCRIBE TO BULLDOG EMERGENCY ALERTS

By default, all faculty, staff and students are automatically enrolled to receive emergency alerts based on your AAMU email and primary number provided in Self-Service Banner. The Higher Education Opportunity Act (Public Law 110 315) requires institutions to inform their respective campuses of conditions posing a threat to life, safety, and security so that members of the community can take necessary precautions to protect themselves.

You will need to maintain this information by logging into Self-Service Banner and updating your personal information.

UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR EMERGENCY ALERTS

Students, Faculty and Staff will be able to update their personal information via Self-Service Banner using the steps below:

  1. Log into Self-Service Banner from the SSO portal
  2. Select the “Personal Information” tab
  3. Update your cell phone and email address where you would like to receive alerts.

DEACTIVATION

Your account will be deactivated if you leave the university; that is, if you are no longer an employee or registered student of AAMU.
