Day of Service 2023
Alabama A&M University will harness the collective energy of hundreds of freshmen,
upperclassmen, and community volunteers for its Day of Service scheduled Saturday, April 1, 2023. Activities will launch at 7 a.m. from T.M. Elmore Gymnasium and conclude around
3 p.m.
This year, AAMU is leading the massive effort, which began as a project first organized by area churches. In 2017, AAMU served as the first hub for north Huntsville. On April 1st, campus and community volunteers will gather for a university-wide send-off. Campus buses will then drive them throughout the community to churches, agencies, and neighborhoods that requested help.
AAMU's 6th annual Day of Service, "AAMU, Servicing The City " will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023. This year the event will be held in Elmore Gym from 7:00am to 2pm. Volunteers are asked to be at the Gym no later 6:45am for check-in and breakfast.
