ROTC Training

  • Physical Training

Motivation is how we start our day. Meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings before classes start. An extremely motivational hour of building strength, endurance, speed, and we always have a great time doing it. It doesn’t matter where your fitness level is now, we’ll help you get to where you want to be.

  • Map Reading & Land Navigation

Learn how to read a map and navigate from one place to another. We have several opportunities to practice each semester. Land navigation tests usually require finding 4 out of 6 locations in a wooded area using a map, compass, and protractor. It’s you versus Mother Nature. With our land navigation training you will always know where you stand.

  • Squad & Platoon Level Tactics

Learn the art of organizing and employing forces in order to accomplish a mission. Tactics improves technical and tactical leadership skills and builds confidence. Are you ready to take charge of a squad (8 personnel) or a platoon (30 personnel)? We can get you there.

  • Combat Water Skill Test (CWST)

Builds confidence and helps overcome fear in water obstacles. We conduct CWST once a semester on campus and have a great time doing it. You don’t have to be an Olympic swimmer, but at the end of this training you will be more prepared for any emergency water situations.

  • Advanced Training Course

Between a Cadet’s Junior and Senior year he/she will attend a paid 30-day leadership development course at Fort Knox Kentucky. At the completion of this course, Cadets will be ready to return to campus and assume leadership positions to teach, coach, and mentor junior level Bulldog Cadets. This is an honor and an incredible responsibility. Our Seniors are preparing to lead Army Soldiers within a year.
