The Department of English and Foreign Language seeks poetry written in English by undergraduate or graduate students of Alabama A&M University full or part-time.
$100, $50, and $25 prizes will be offered for 1st, 2nd, and 3d places.
The contest opens February 16th and closes April 1st, 2024. The winners will be announced in April.
2024 contest rules
- one poem per entrant
- 60 lines or less
- include the title of your poem
- previously unpublished
- no simultaneous submissions
- poems by current students only
- Microsoft Word or PDF
- 12-point sized Times New Roman font
- No self-identifying information on the poem (other than A# in top right corner)
