Our series is crafted to offer continuing education units (CEUs) to help you advance your career and stay current with industry standards.

About the Series:

The AAMU, Department of Psychology & Counseling Professional Development Speaker Series is more than just training; it's an opportunity to engage with experts, enhance your skills, and earn valuable CEUs. Each session is thoughtfully curated to cover a range of topics relevant to today's professionals, ensuring you gain practical knowledge and insights that can be immediately applied to your work.

Objectives:

• To provide professional development for students in the graduate counseling program about various evidence-based tools and clinical practices in the mental health field.
• To provide clinical supervision tools and techniques for our site supervisors as part of accreditation efforts. 
• To provide awareness about various careers in psychology for our undergraduate students
• To build partnerships with allied health professionals/agencies and to provide continuing education credit for clinicians in the field as we are able.

• Expert-Led Sessions: Learn from licensed professionals who are leaders in their fields. Our speakers bring a wealth of experience and knowledge, providing you with the latest industry insights and best practices.
• Diverse Topics: From mental health and wellness to leadership development and technical skills, our series covers a broad spectrum of subjects to meet your professional needs.
• Interactive Format: Engage in interactive discussions, practical exercises, and real-world case studies. Our sessions are designed to be dynamic and participatory, ensuring you get the most out of your learning experience.
• Earn CEUs: Each session is accredited and provides CEUs upon completion, helping you fulfill your professional development requirements and enhance your credentials for LPCs. $5 to $10 processing fee for NBCC CEU Certificate.
