The Department of Social Work at Alabama A&M University’s Title IV-E Child Welfare Program invites you to this year’s Child Welfare Day Conference on campus. This annual event provides a platform for child welfare professionals, faculty, students, and community partners to engage in meaningful discussions, share best practices, and collaborate on education and training initiatives.
With a focus on the mission of Child Welfare Services (CWS)—preventing child abuse and protecting children—the conference will feature insightful discussions on culturally responsive practices and other key topics shaping the field.
Additionally, the program encourages social work students to explore careers in child welfare, offering undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to apply for the Title IV-E stipend, which provides coaching and mentorship from experienced professionals.
We would be honored to have you join us for this impactful event. This year’s theme, “To Serve and Protect: Social Work’s Rich Legacy in Child Welfare,” highlights the critical role of social workers in advocating for and safeguarding children and families.
