Ms. Esther Philips-Embden pinned them as members of The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA). Each will now serve a residency in speech language pathology.

CSD also honored two undergraduate students, Marissa Turrentine and Brooklyn Chapman 4th and 5th from left). They can apply for graduate school or work as speech language pathology assistants.

AAMU CSD also remembered and held a moment of silence for Jelani Day, who graduated from the program in 2018.

The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association is the only national student organization for pre-professionals studying communication sciences and disorders recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Established in 1972, NSSLHA supports 11,700+ members and 340+ chapters at colleges and universities nationwide.
