Regions Announces AAMU Scholarship Essay Contest

The Regions Riding Forward? Scholarship Essay Contest encourages Alabama A&M University students to retell stories of the Black individuals, leaders, and activists who have moved society forward.
Whether through individual impact or community effort, people make a change inspire us to tell stories worth sharing.
AAMU students are being encouraged to write about a Black American individual who has inspired them. It is also a chance to earn a $3,500 or $5,000 college scholarship. By entering, students become part of a 10-year tradition that’s awarded over $1 million in scholarships.
The leadership and actions of Black American individuals are stories worth sharing. Thus, the Regions Riding Forward? Scholarship Essay Contest wants to hear stories.
How to Enter: Now through 03/31/21, go to regions.com/ridingforward to enter the essay.
What to Enter: In 500 words or less, the essay should focus on a Black American individual who has inspired the student.
Why Enter: Regions will award $5,000 scholarships to 15 high school seniors and $3,500 scholarships to 15 college freshmen, sophomores or juniors.
