An Alabama A&M University professor will present a workshop on October 21 to the United States Secret Service leadership coaching program.

Last year, Dr. Tonya Davis, program coordinator and assistant professor, Pyschology/Counseling, served as a consultant and discussed her research on coaching and mental health.  She also worked on a team to develop leadership coaching policy and assisted with the development of a technical manual for the program.

As part of her USSS presentation, Dr. Davis will discuss the differences between coaching/mentoring and recognition of when referral for clinical counseling is needed.
